UNEMPLOYMENT SUCKS!! Oh, wait a minute.....let me re-phrase that. LACK OF INCOME SUCKS.....unemployment is actually rather nice. Kinda like being on permanent vacation. No alarm clocks.....late night movies.....I really LIKE not working. I just hate the "how the hell am I gonna pay my bills & buy groceries" part of the whole thing! I'm sure I'm not alone. Half the damn country is out of work. Our politicians are trying to convince us that "things are improving" and "jobs are being created".....WHERE???? INDONESIA??? CHINA??
Our country is becoming crippled by the current economy....and it's NOT going to get any better when ALL of our industries are moving to foreign countries to make more money using dirt-cheap labor (which, BTW, includes CHILD labor in most instances!) I challenge you to find TEN THINGS.....JUST TEN....that are still manufactured in the USA!!! Even our FOOD is being imported! Tell me why....when the USA EXPORTS rice to other countries, do I find brands of rice on my grocer's shelves to be IMPORTED from foreign countries??? This makes NO sense. Why do we import what we can provide for ourselves?? We should only be importing things that we cannot grow or manufacture ourselves in OUR COUNTRY!! Why does ANY country import what they can readily provide for themselves, with their own country's resources??? Go figure!

So, if the US begins drilling & pumping this oil....will our gasoline prices get back down to REASONABLE ?? I think not. THE WORLD IS FUELED BY GREED!!
I was looking at a new "shopping" service online today....some of the clothes were downright UGLY, yet the price tags were ALL over $100.00 I am a skilled seamstress. I KNOW what is involved in putting pieces together to make a garment. I also know, beyond ANY doubt, that there is no pair of jeans in the entire WORLD that is worth $217.00 !! (well, maybe if you want to embellish them with fine jewels, diamonds, pearls, etc.) WHY are we so stupid as to pay these exhorbitant prices, to wear some "designer label" ??? All we're doing is advertising to the public in general that we have more money than brains! Not to mention the designer in questions is getting FREE ADVERTISING, every time we wear their product! Maybe I should start my own clothing line. You can bet your ass my product would be something that REAL working class people could afford to purchase!
