THIS WAS A MERELY A CASE OF RETAIL INVENTORY MANAGEMENT! If the items in question had been brown vs. white TOWELS, this article would never have been written! Most anyone with half a brain knows that retailers like to clear their shelves prior to new seasonal arrivals. The best way to clear shelves is to put things on clearance! Most of us enjoy these times & take advantage of the reduced prices. Someone with a cellphone camera apparently found it humorous that black Barbie sold for less than white Barbie. And in a nano-second, that simple act of snapping a photo & sharing it via a humor website, has escalated into THIS sort of crap! Good God! They even called in a psychologist from Harlem, a Harvard University professor, and a sociology professor from Nevada State. Seems EVERYONE got in on the act.
AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THIS IS TAKING THINGS JUST A LITTLE TOO FAR?? All the "experts" seemed to agree that "....Walmart should have been more sensitive" Just keep stirrin' the pot, folks!
Racism is alive and well, due to this kind of reporting.
